FAQs

General questions

After confirming your order of any of the LeadSuccess products, you will receive an email with your access data for the APP as well as an administrator account for the LeadSuccess Portal to the e-mail address you have specified as contact person.

To successfully log in to the portal for the first time, it is necessary to use the login details received by email. Please log in to the portal via the following link: https://leadsuccess.convey.de/lsportal Then enter your administrator user name and password in the fields provided and confirm the privacy policy. Then click on the orange “Log in” button. The same applies to the APP. After you have downloaded the app from the OS store of your device (AndroidStore, WindowsStore, AppleStore), enter the given user name and password and confirm the data protection provisions. You can then use the APP.

If you have booked an app in combination with a mobile device (iPad or QR code scanner), the LeadSuccess app is already pre-installed and your device has been logged in with your login data.
If you have booked an app for your personal device, please download the LeadSuccess app from the relevant store before the start of the trade fair and log in there using the access data sent to you by e-mail.

On the “start page”, you will find an overview of the most important applications.
On the left-hand side of the start page is the menu with the various functions that are available for your LeadSuccess account. If you click on the three lines, the text describing each symbol in more detail is displayed.
While the administrator account is granted access to all functions, the other users are only granted limited access.
The “dashboard” shows you statistics and graphics about: number of contacts recorded and their type, questionnaire questions and answers, country of oringin, collection time and time and number of contacts for each user.
The “employee” application allows you to see and change the name, surname, username and password of all users.
Under “My events” you can switch various APP functions (such as scanning business cards, questionnaires, attachments, etc.) on and off and activate the GDPR text field for the signature. The “My event” application is only active for annual rental customers and allows you to create new events.
In the “Questionnaire” application you can set up your own questions and answers, while in the “Automatic emails” application you can create your own automatic emails to send to your visitors.
The “Contacts and Events” application allows you to view, search and modify contacts, which you can then export using the “Export” application.
The “Infodesk” application provides an overview and communication tool between APPs and portal, while in the “Options” you can change the colors of the APP and portal and log out.

The devices must be collected from the LeadSuccess service counter one day before the start of the trade fair and returned on the last day of the trade fair after the end of the event. When the equipment is handed over, you will receive a short briefing/demonstration on its operation from our employee.

The app can be used on all current smartphones and tablets (IOS, Android, Windows).

To categorize potential customers, you can create and edit a questionnaire for your event in the LeadSuccess portal. It is possible to add, delete and change the type and number of questions and answers that are displayed on the mobile device after a new contact has been recorded. The pre-installed questionnaire only serves as an example. Its questions and answers can be changed or deleted at any time. While the number of questions is not limited, the number of answers, depending on the question type, is limited to a maximum of 28 possible answers and depends on the type of answer you wish to use. You have the option of asking single or multiple choice questions. After creating the questionnaire, click on the “Publish” button. After scanning a contact, the questionnaire will be displayed in the app.

Questions can also be changed and added at any time during the trade fair. Please make sure that you click on the “Publish” button after each change so that the changes are also visible in the app on mobile devices. In addition, you should not change the meaning of a question during a trade fair.

Even during the trade fair, you can still book additional app licenses and end devices via the respective service store of the trade fair.

This varies greatly depending on the trade fair you are attending. At Mesago and Messe Frankfurt events, for example, you will receive different data depending on the package you order:

LeadSuccess Classic App, LeadSuccess Classic iPad and LeadSuccess Classic QR code scanner: first name, last name, title, company, address, country, phone, email, scan time.

LeadSuccess Premium Analysis: first name, last name, title, company, address, country, phone, email, scan time, industry, department, function, area of interest, company size.

LeadSuccess Professional analysis: first name, last name, salutation, title, company, address, country, telephone, e-mail, scan time, industry, department, function, area of interest, company size. In addition to this data, you also receive statistics on the sector, department, function, area of interest and company size of all visitors to the trade fair.

If you are unsure, please let us know the name of the event and we will inform you of the data you will receive.

The data is automatically transferred to the LeadSuccess portal after scanning if there is an Internet connection. From there, you have access to all scanned contacts.

You need an internet connection to use the app on your personal devices. Some of the packages we offer at the trade fair already include an internet connection, so you do not need an additional connection for these.
The app also works without an internet connection. Even if you are offline, you can collect data and use all the functions of the APP. The data is stored in the APP’s local database until an Internet connection is restored, after which the data is automatically uploaded to the portal.
Please note that while a device/APP is offline, no address data from business cards or ID cards is displayed (but will be updated as soon as the Internet connection is restored) and no data from this device is displayed in the LeadSuccess portal.

In addition to the data collected by scanning a ticket, business card or by manual entry, it is possible to add additional information via the questionnaire, sketches, signature for GDPR text, sound recordings and photos functions.
These functions are available with the APP, but may differ minimally if you book a LeadSuccess package with a device from us. For more information please contact us in advance.

The language of the app is preset according to the operating system. However, if you want to change the language later, you can do this in the app settings under “Options” in the “Account” menu item. Possible language settings are German, English, French and Italian.

You will have access to your recorded data for four weeks after the end of the trade fair. You will also receive a reminder e-mail before the data is deleted.

The scanned data can be downloaded using the LeadSuccess portal. To do this, click on the “Exports” menu item in the portal. There you can download the statistics sorted by contact, country, questions and employee. It is also possible to save contacts including PDF and audio files. It is not possible to export the data from the APP.

The data can be exported as PDF and Excel files.

Problem Solutions

First make sure that there is an Internet connection on the end device. From time to time, data may not be uploaded at the same time and the transfer may take a little longer. However, all your scanned data is available and saved.

Please make sure that you always log in to the current trade fair using the access data that was last sent to you. To do this, it is necessary to log out in your account settings and log in again with the new data you have received. To do this, activate the menu item “Allow logout” under “Options” and then click on the three black dots in the bottom right-hand corner of the menu item “Account” and then on “Logout”.

Please make sure that you are trying to access with the APP user and not the portal user. Please also check that you are accessing with the current user/password and not with an older user. Close the app or restart your device. Please pay attention to any spaces when copying the password. It is also important to use the latest version of the LeadSuccess app. Please download this from the relevant store or update the app.

Each license can only be used on one end device. If you have logged in with your access data on another device, the first device will be blocked. If you require additional licenses, please book them via the service store or contact us.

If tickets are purchased at short notice, it is possible that the data from the trade fair has not yet been transferred to Convey. In rare cases, this can take up to 12 hours. In addition, no content is displayed if no trade fair ticket has been scanned. Please ensure that you only scan tickets on which a name is available.

Please note: It is only possible to scan tickets from trade fairs with which we have a contract. Please check the LeadSuccess page or contact us directly to find out which trade fairs we have a contract with.

Please check the changed app access data by re-entering the data in the portal and then trying to log in to the app. If this is not successful, please contact us.
If you can no longer log in to the LeadSuccess portal, please contact us in order to be activated again.

To improve the quality of the data captured by the OCR when photographing a business card, please proceed as follows:
– Make sure that you take a good picture of the business card, without shadows and not blurred.
– The larger the picture, the better
– Make sure that the automatic cropping function is working. If not, you probably don’t have the latest version of the APP.

Make sure that your mobile device settings allow the LeadSuccess app to access the camera and photos.

In the LeadSuccess app, under “Options”, deactivate the “Integrated scanner” function. 

You may be using an outdated version of the app. Please download or update the current version of the LeadSuccess app. Also make sure that the LeadSuccess app is allowed to access the camera and photos in your mobile device settings.
